Operation Amped at the Wavehouse
Saturday, October 24, 2009This is our first event on the FlowRider at the Wavehouse in Mission Beach! Wavehouse contacted us about offering free sessions on the FlowRider to veterans rehabilitating injuries - just like they do at the aquatic program of the Army Center for the Intrepid in San Antonio, TX. Only THIS FlowRider is outdoors in San Diego! Limit of 20 veterans per two hour session, no volunteers required for these events. Prosthetics are allowed on a case-by-case basis - no metal protrusions that might harm the FlowRider surface. Instruction, body boards, helmets, and stand-up boards provided. Lots of options at the Wavehouse and nearby for food, and a nice shady area for families and others to watch the action!
